Evernote Hacked, Emails and Encrypted Passwords Leaked

Few hours ago, Popular tech company Evernote has also confirmed that hackers have broken into their systems. Company revealed that hackers have access the emails addresses and encrypted passwords.

Now, Company is forcing users to change their account password before accessing the service. Company is also sending emails to all registered users and requesting them to change password as soon as they can.

“Evernote’s Operations & Security team has discovered and blocked suspicious activity on the Evernote network that appears to have been a coordinated attempt to access secure areas of the Evernote Service,” Evernote posted on password reset page.

Company said that their password encryption algorithm is secure and hackers will not be able to break it. Still, users should change the password to ensure security.

Company is still investigating and trying to know how hackers have broken into the systems. They are also trying to know whether the billing information was accessed or not.

This is another big hack after Twitter, Facebook, Apple and Microsoft. It is the time of worry and all Internet users must try to protect their computer from hackers.

If you are an existing customer of Evernote, you should go and change your password now. If you use same password on other services too, change passwords of those services too. And try to avoid same password in all online services.
